Dilithium Networks has joined the Symbian Platinum Partner Programme

Dilithium will offer a highly integrated solution comprising its H.324M/3G-324M protocol stack on the symbian operating system, enabling rapid prototyping and production of 3G video-enabled phones. The H.324M protocol is an ITU-T standard which has been adopted by both 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards bodies to enable real-time streaming and conversational video services over wireless networks.

"The Symbian platform is being selected by a broad segment of the handset market.

We are pleased to offer a solution which enables our 3G-324M protocol stack to be integrated with the Symbian operating system", said Dr Marwan Jabri, cofounder and Chief Technology Officer of Dilithium Networks.

Dilithium Networks' H.324M/3G-324M multimedia stack, and the Dilithium Networks Analyzer (DNA) - a H.324M/3G-324M protocol analysis and test tool - are industry standards that are used by a majority of operators and handset vendors today.

The Dilithium Networks' H.324M/3G-324M protocol stack includes AnswerFast, a patent-pending technology that reduces call setup time for video calls by up to 50% and therefore enhances user experience.

The availability of the Dilithium Networks solution on Symbian will facilitate time to market for 3G handset vendors.

Dilithium Network's H.324M protocol stack is a mature solution available commercially since 1999.

It is modular, highly interoperable and has a low memory footprint.

Dilithium Networks also offers professional services and support to assist 3G handset vendors to achieve rapid prototyping of next generation products.
