Start with the news release Atmel offers chipsets for 15in touchscreens from Atmel, which we summarised at the time by saying "Atmel has announced that it is shipping production quantities of the Atmel Maxtouch mXT1386 and mXT616 chipsets for large touchscreens up to 15in. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Self-encrypting drive targets shared desktop PCs from Toshiba Storage Device Division: "Toshiba Storage Device Division (SDD) has launched the MKxx61GSYD, a 7,200rev/min 2.5in self-encrypting drive (SED) designed for commercial notebooks and security-sensitive applications. ".
In November 2010, we covered the news from Zytronic - take a look at Heavy-duty touchscreen for interactive displays which says: "Zytronic, with its systems integration partner JEA Technologies, has brought heavy-duty touchscreen functionality to its J-Vue interactive display units, for customer use in supermarkets and banks.".
