GPEG has brought out the first three LCD displays from its range of industrial TFT displays.

They are initially available in 4.0, 5.6 and 5.7in (101.6, 142.2 and 144.8mm) sizes and have a long-term availability guarantee.

Utilising the latest LCD technology to create an extended viewing angle of up to 170 degrees in both horizontal and vertical directions, the modules also have very good contrast ratios (500:1 for the 5.6in and 350:1 for the 4.0 and 5.7in).

Excellent readability is achieved through the use of efficient, ultra bright LED backlights of 500cd/m2 5.7in, 400cd/m2 4.0in, and 350cd/m2 5.6in.

The 4.0in features a resolution of 480 x 272 (WQVGA), the 5.6in 640 x 480 (VGA), and the 5.7in 320 x 240 (QVGA).

Wide-temperature operation of -20 to +70C is standard on the 5.6in and 5.7in models.

The 4.0in has an ultra-wide range of -30 to +80C.

RGB and MCU interface options are standard, with the LCD timing controller built in.

GPEG's compact construction techniques make these displays ideal for new designs in instrumentation, medical and portable applications.

Touch screens, both projective capacitive (PCT) and resistive, are options for the 5.6 and 5.7in.

These TFT displays can be further enhanced by using GPEG's Turnkey Solutions facility, which offers options on integrating standard or custom display modules with a PCB, keypads, plastics and full test facilities.
