Cypress unveils fast asynchronous SRAM devices
Cypress has introduced 32Mbit and 64Mbit fast asynchronous static random access memory (SRAM) devices for storage servers, switches, routers, testing equipment, security systems and military systems.
The SRAM devices are said to offer fast response times, fast access times of 12ns and a small footprint.
The CY7C1071DV33 32Mbit 3V and CY7C1081DV33 64Mbit 3V fast asynchronous SRAMs offer both 16-bit and 8-bit input/output (I/O) configuration.
The devices are available in RoHS-compliant 48-BGA packages with footprints of 8.0 x 9.5 x 1.2mm and 8.0 x 9.5 x 1.4mm respectively.
The new fast asynchronous SRAMs are fabricated using Cypress's 90nm C9 CMOS technology.
The CY7C1071DV33 32Mbit device is currently in production, while the CY7C1081DV33 64Mbit fast asynchronous SRAM is sampling now with production expected in October 2010.
