Available now from Contax, the Speedline Camalot FX-D dispensing system can be reconfigured in the field to meet virtually any change in requirement. The FX-D can be used as a stand-alone or inline system, and can be supplied with or without a heat facility. It can be field retrofitted with any available option, such as servo-driven pumps, jetting valves, weight scales or even a conveyor.
Furthermore, the system can support two independently controlled z-heads for a sequential dispense mode, so allowing different materials to be dispensed within a single process.
This can provide 20% greater throughput with no loss of accuracy.
For inline applications, the 'pipeline' conveyor mode reduces handling time by up to 50% by transferring products in parallel.

Upgrade for X-ray joint inspection
Submicron high-resolution X-ray system for manual and automatic solder joint inspection is enhanced with new inspection software
The 508 x 508mm dispense area and machine maintenance points are all easily accessible to minimise downtime.
Other features include: Benchmark software, a Microsoft Windows-based system that provides fast, user-friendly program creation and changeover; a highly accurate gantry using precision ball screws driven by closed-loop DC servomotors; and dispense pumps based on proven designs that have been enhanced with closed loop DC servomotors.
These new motors provide finer dispense resolution and adjustable speeds for faster, more precise, delivery.
In addition, different auger screw pitches are available for applications that have more stringent volume requirements.
'This is a truly flexible system', says Mike Rapson, Managing Director at Contax.
'Most dispense platforms are limited by the range of applications that they can cover, but the new Camalot FX-D breaks all those barriers', he adds.
'It provides the flexibility and performance that were previously only available at the high end of the market in a very cost effective package', he concludes.
