Bookham is continuing its commitment to quality and standards by becoming a full member of the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecoms (QuEST) Forum, a unique global partnership of over 140 telecomms suppliers and service providers. Bookham's membership of the Forum - a group committed to the continual improvement of the quality and reliability of telecomms products and services - follows a global strategy to upgrade from the company's existing local site ISO9001:2000 quality management system standard to the requirements and measurements of the QuEST TL9000 approval.

'Furthermore, the Global TL9000 certificate offers our customers further assurance that Bookham products and services are truly world-class'.
TL9000 defines additional system requirements and measurements over and above ISO9001 for the design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of telecomms products and services and is a result of collaborative effort between customers and their suppliers.
Bookham received its certificate at the Annual Global QuEST Forum, held last month in Tampa, Florida.
'The TL9000 Global certificate is a hard-won award that only truly world-class organisations can aspire to and we are pleased to see that a company as well-known as Bookham has shown such an ongoing commitment to reach this standard', said Don Pickens, Chief Operating Officer at the QuEST Forum.
