Axiomtek offers desktop network appliance platform

The NA-320 from Axiomtek is a compact desktop network appliance platform with six Gigabit LAN ports designed for VPN, firewall, UTM, network bandwidth controller, and network management applications.

The NA-320 supports the low-voltage Intel Atom processors D510/D410 1.66GHz with Intel ICH8M PCH chipset.

The device supports a high-bandwidth DDR2 Sodimm slot with memory up to 2GB.

In order to provide the best network performance, the NA-320 utilises one 2.5in Sata HDD and Compactflash.

Six Gigabit LAN ports with bypass provide high-throughput and availability.

In addition, one PCI Express Mini Card (USB type) is available for Wi-Fi wireless card installation.

The low-power unit comes in a small package with a height of 44mm and a weight of 2.5kg, which can easily fit into any space-limited and harsh environments.

To provide faster response time in multitasking environments, the NA-320 supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology which comes standard in both the Intel D510/ D410 CPUs.

With small form-factor design, the compact NA-320 offers six high-speed Gigabit network connections using Intel 82583V LAN chip.

To prevent problems from sudden shutdown, it supports optional LAN bypass function through WDT and GPIO pin definitions.

This network appliance platform also features function of BIOS redirection to console port.

The NA-320 has storage interfaces including one 2.5in SATA hard disk drive bay and a Compactflash card.

Six Gigabit LAN ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one RJ-45 console port and power connector are found on the rear panel.

Internally, the devices include a Mini PCI expansion slot (USB- type) and two more USB ports.

For easy maintenance, the front-facing LED indicators are available for system, power and HDD activities monitoring.

It also supports mainstream Linux kernel 2.6 operating system.
