3.5in SBC has Intel Atom N270 processor

Axiomtek has announced the release of the SBC84831 3.5in embedded SBC with Intel Atom N270 processor.

The single-board computer incorporates an ultra-low power Intel Atom N270 processor up to 1.6 GHz with a 533 MHz FSB and the Intel 945GSE+ICH7M chipset.

The Mobile Intel 945GSE Express chipset comes with the Generation 3.5 Intel Integrated Graphics Engine, and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which provides enhanced graphics support over the previous generation graphics and memory controller hubs.

Measuring 102 x 146mm, the SBC84831 is ideal for rugged and compact applications including digital signage, kiosks/POI, thin clients, digital surveillance, and industrial control.

The SBC84831 supports CRT (2048 x 1536) and LVDS LCD (1600 x 1200) dual-view displays.

One DDR2 SODIMM on board implements up to 2GB of system memory.

The 3.5in embedded platform comes with advanced connectivity and expansion interfaces including six COM ports (RS-232), four USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit LAN ports, one Compactflash Type II socket, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, AC'97 Codec audio, two SATA-150 ports, and Digital I/O.

Two Realtek RTL8111B 10/100/1000 Ethernet controllers feature remote wake-up function to increase cost-efficiency in network maintenance and management.

A watchdog timer is included to keep system running smoothly.

The system only requires +12VDC input.

The product is RoHS compliant and will be available at the end of March 2009.
