ART Advanced Recognition Technologies has joined Symbian's Platinum Partner Programme

The symbian Platinum Programme is open to companies that have a technology or strategic position that is key to the success of mobile computing technology surrounding Symbian OS. ART has worked to optimise its speech and handwriting recognisers for use with Symbian OS. As part of being a Symbian Platinum Partner, ART has made its leading speech recognition technology, the Smartspeak XG, available for Symbian developers and other third parties.

In addition, under the terms of a new licensing agreement, ART's Simpliwrite and Smartwriter technologies will be distributed with Symbian's OS development kit which available to Symbian Platinum Partners.
