An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Touch-screen technology for screens up to 5in from IDT, which we summarised at the time by saying "IDT has announced what is said to be the world's first true single-layer multi-touch projected capacitive touch-screen technology for screen sizes up to 5in. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Touch controller designed for ultra-large formats from Zytronic: "Developed for Zytronic's proprietary range of touch sensors, the ZXY100/128 touch controller supports touchscreens greater than 50in (126cm) across.".
In September 2010, we covered the news from Zytronic - take a look at Touch controllers enhance ultra-large-format apps which says: "At Electronica 2010, Zytronic will launch an addition to its range of touch controllers designed to enhance user experience in ultra-large-format applications. ".
Take a look also at the news release from Congatec, Congatec module enables mobile applications, as well as Digital accelerometer meets motion-detection needs from Mouser Electronics, and Panel computer withstands harsh conditions from Axiomtek.
