The MG3700A is billed as the first stand-alone vector signal generator to output a wideband digital modulation signal as large as 120MHz RF modulation bandwidth in the 250kHz-6GHz frequency range.

Anritsu has introduced its MG3700A vector signal generator, the first stand-alone unit in the industry for outputting a wideband digital modulation signal as large as 120MHz RF modulation bandwidth in the 250kHz-6GHz frequency range As opposed to most conventional signal generators, this range enables the MG3700A, as a single unit, to cover both the RF modulation bandwidths of all second and third-generation mobile telephone systems now in use, as well as those of fourth-generation mobile telephone and next-generation wireless LAN systems
