The WVFG is a 16bit resolution arbitrary waveform generator with digital to analogue conversion rates of 200Msample/s. Each of two WVFG channels contains an 8M x 16bit memory for storing digitised analogue patterns, and four ports for simultaneous connection to multiple device inputs pins, or multiple devices in a parallel test configuration.
The WVFD is a high-performance digitiser with 16bit resolution analogue to digital conversion rates of 62.5Msample/s, or 14bit analogue to digital conversion rates of 250Msample/s.
The WVFD includes a digital filter that can perform real-time signal processing on digitised device waveforms, thus achieving faster test times.
The WVFD supports up to four channels, each containing a differential input pair and six single-ended inputs, and a waveform memory of 1M x 16 bit.

Open test platform turns to high-volume SoCs
ATE is specifically designed with the compactness and modularity required to effectively test today's high-functionality SoC consumer devices
Systems containing WVFG and WVFD are suitable for testing devices with 16bit resolution and operating speeds above 50MHz.
SoCs with audio and video circuits, telecommunication devices such as ADSL modems, wireless applications with demanding baseband symbol processors and wideband transmitter and receivers, such as 3G compliant cellular phone chips, are all applications for WVFG and WVFD.
Previous testers used separate low-frequency units to achieve 16bit resolution, along with higher-frequency units with resolutions usually limited to 12bit.
By providing high frequency and high resolution from the same unit, the WVFG or WVFD can reduce the need for performance board relays or test system matrices that are common when the same device pin must be connectable to separate tester resources.
