And, to support the launch, Abacus and Microsoft are cohosting an invitation-only conference for UK embedded software developers. Built upon the proven code base of Windows 2000, Windows XP Embedded is the componentised version of Windows XP, offering high reliability, security and performance coupled with the latest multimedia, web browsing, power management and device support.

To support the UK rollout of Microsoft's new embedded operating system, Abacus Polar is working with Microsoft to arrange a technical seminar for UK embedded software developers.
The seminar will take place on 26th February at Microsoft's UK head office in Bracknell.
Abacus Polar also expects to ship Windows CE.NET, the next version of the Windows CE embedded real-time operating system in February.
