Aaeon has launched a new generation of a high-end fanless vehicle computer - the AEC-691.

AEC-6911 supports Intel Atom processors and is equipped with a high-efficiency heat conduction mechanism.

The system memory comprises one DDRII SODIMM up to 2GB.

AEC-6911 is equipped with two PCI and two PCMCIA slots for expansion.

Three RS-232, one RS-232/422/485, two 10/100/1000 Base-TX RJ-45 and four USB 2.0 ports allow communication with diverse devices with a high transfer rate.

The company said that its AEC-6911 offers a cutting-edge design in heat spreading.

The wide power input range is also a key feature of AEC-6911; it supports DC input from 9V to 30V.

AC power input can be accepted via an external AC power adapter.

In addition to its fanless and robust design, the MTBF (mean time before failure) of the AEC-6911 is up to 50,000 hours at 25C ambient temperature.
