Aaeon, an industrial PC manufacturer, has released two point-of-promotion (POP) panel PCs.

The POP-190 and the POP-150 complete the existing Aaeon POP series and are claimed to provide a cost-effective solution to the digital signage market.

The units, which offer open-frame, fanless, low-power consumption and a compact size, are said to be suitable for broadcasting interactive videos for sales promotions and market developments.

The POP-190 and the POP-150 adopt the Intel Celeron M low-voltage processor (up to 1.5GHz) and system memory of 512Mb (up to 1.0Gb).

They feature flexible input/output (I/O) ports, an optional 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 connector, two COM ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one optional audio line-out port, one PS/2 keyboard/mouse port and one VGA-out port.

Additionally, they each have one internal mini-PCI slot and a 2.5in (6.4cm) hard-disk drive bay/internal compact flash slot for any necessary expansion and storage.

In addition, the POP-190 and the POP-150 operate with mainstream systems, such as Windows 2000 and Windows XP for OS compatibility.
