Start with the news release AC/DC power converters for medical applications from Bear Power Supplies, which we summarised at the time by saying "Bear's compact and rugged BP Series encapsulated AC/DC power converters are available for purchase online, simplifying OEM evaluation for commercial, industrial and medical applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release PSUs are configured for medical applications from Excelsys Technologies: "Configurable power supply is approved to EN60601-1 and UL2601-1, providing up to 600W output in a slimline 1U x 260 x 89mm package.".
In April 2007, we covered the news from Bear Power Supplies - take a look at AC/DC power convertor wins medical approval which says: "Bear Power Supplies' compact 30W AC/DC power convertor recently passed TUV testing to meet UL2601-1, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No 601.1-M90, EN60601-1-2 and IEC601-1 requirement".
