‘Solder Reflow’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Oscillator achieves ultra-low phase noise from Z-Communications, which we summarised at the time by saying "Z-Communications has announced an RoHS-compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) in S-band for digital radio and fixed wireless applications that require ultra-low phase noise performance. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Rugged flame-retardent laminates for military PCBs from Rogers: "Rogers has introduced XT/duroid high-performance thermoplastic laminate materials, suitable for high-frequency multilayer circuits in military, aerospace and deep-space applications.".

In December 2010, we covered the news from Saelig - take a look at Mini oscillators for battery-powered applications which says: "Saelig has introduced four new ranges of low-voltage crystal oscillators in miniature surface-mount packages that are well suited for use in battery-powered applications.".

Take a look also at the news release from Molex, Illumimate meets needs of thin-screen LED TVs, as well as Vandal-resistant switches enable access control from Bulgin Components, and Rugged connectors for oil and gas downhole tools from Amphenol.
