Start with the news release Kenton launches LIU202A broadband line isolator from Kenton Research, which we summarised at the time by saying "Kenton Research has launched the LIU202A broadband line isolator, which provides 15KV RMS of galvanic isolation on transmission lines with DSL/broadband services and active equipment.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Processor improves DSL device designs from Wintegra: "Upgraded IP-DSLAM processor is software compatible with the previous generation of WinArrow devices, simplifying upgrades for OEMs.".
In February 2005, we covered the news from Microtel - take a look at Platforms promise broadband over copper which says: "A new range of communications platforms that allow broadband fibre performance to be obtained from conventional copper cabling is now available in the UK from Microtel.".
