‘Safety Certification’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release EASA certifies avionics unit with Altera processor from Altera, which we summarised at the time by saying "The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a safety-critical avionics system that includes a DO-254/ED-80-certifiable version of Altera's Nios II embedded processor.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Globtek offers desktop-style power supplies from Globtek: "Globtek has launched the GT-41133 series of desktop-style power supplies with IEC 60320/C6, C8 or C14 inlets.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from MSC Vertriebs - take a look at DC/DC converters suited for critical applications which says: "MSC is offering the 92D series DC/DC converters from YDS, which are suited for use in critical applications. ".
Take a look also at the news release from XP Power, AC/DC power supplies suit harsh environments, as well as Foremost offers Emobility charging connectors from Foremost Electronics, and Microcontrollers designed for multi-applications from NXP Semiconductors.
