‘Omap Developer’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release LPC4000 enables DSP/MCU application development from NXP Semiconductors, which we summarised at the time by saying "The LPC4000 range enables customers to develop applications such as motor control, power management, industrial automation, robotics, medical, automotive accessories and embedded audio.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release E-con launches (HD) camera for Gumstix COMs from E-con Systems: "E-con Systems has launched its e-CAM50_OMAP_GSTIX, a 5Mp high-definition (HD) camera solution for the OMAP35x-based Gumstix Overo computer-on-module (COM) series. ".
In September 2010, we covered the news from Dialog Semiconductor - take a look at System companion chip for embedded applications which says: "Dialog Semiconductor has launched a single-chip system companion IC to optimise the power efficiency of embedded applications using the Intel Atom E6xx processor (formerly codenamed Tunnel Creek).".
Take a look also at the news release from ARM, Cortex-A15 processor for smartphone applications, as well as Harmonic selects Ambarella semiconductor platform from Ambarella, and Embedded Development Kits enhance productivity from Wind River Systems.
