We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "MOV", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Ceramic capacitors suit EMI filtering from Syfer Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Syfer's discoidal multilayer ceramic capacitors can be installed directly into filters, onto bulkheads, hybrid circuits or onto printed circuit boards". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Fuse and MOV come together to protect on the line from Raychem Circuit Protection: "The RoHS-compliant 2Pro device incorporates PolySwitch PPTC overcurrent technology with a metal oxide varistor component into one innovative, thermally protected device".

In August 2004, we covered the news from Oxford Semiconductor concerning its OXAV940 - take a look at Processor enables fast-access AV data storage which says: "The OXAV940 multimedia processor enables high quality audio and video data to be recorded directly onto an in-product hard disk".

Take a look also at the news release from Smiths Interconnect - Transtector Systems, Smaller suppressor provides big protection, as well as Suppressor covers multiple channels for CCTV from Smiths Interconnect - Transtector Systems, and Switcher provides power over LANs from Amplicon.
