Suppressor covers multiple
channels for CCTV
A more reliable and more convenient data and power suppressor for closed circuit television purposes can now simplify multiple-unit configuration
The CCTV-PTZ (closed circuit television - pan/tilt/zoom) is a single, compact suppressor that protects coax, power and data lines with Transtector's nondegrading silicon suppression technology. "Until now, most suppression alternatives for closed circuit television involved multiple units and degrading MOV technologies which meant periodic replacement to insure protection", says James Walker, Design Engineer at Transtector Systems.

Lightning protectors have gigabit Ethernet covered
The ALPU Series of lightning protectors now includes units that are suitable for protecting gigabit Ethernet systems using fast-acting silicon avalanche suppression diodes
"But we saw the potential to combine three protection activities - power, data and coax - to simplify system operator's lives.
By using silicon suppression, they have the fastest acting, non-degrading protection available on the market today", adds Walker.
The unit measures 82.6 x 80.5 x 33mm, features BNC coax connectors and accepts hard-wire connections up to 16 gauge.
It has been designed for an operating temperature range from -40 to +65C.
The CCTV-PTZ also has UL497B approval.
