‘Mmic’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Power amplifier modules maximise handset talk time from Avago Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "Avago Technologies has introduced 10 compact universal mobile telecommunication system (UMTS) power amplifier modules (PAMs) that are said to maximise handset talk time and extend battery life.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Mimix launches GaAs MMIC power amplifier from Mimix Broadband: "Mimix Asia has introduced a 2.7GHz to 3.8GHz GaAs monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifier that has a 32dB large signal gain and a 41.5dBm saturated output power.".

In October 2009, we covered the news from Avago Technologies - take a look at Avago TWA suits high-speed digital communications which says: "Avago Technologies has introduced an ultra broadband travelling wave amplifier (TWA) for high-speed digital communications applications that operate in the 30KHz to 80GHz frequency band. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Avago Technologies, Power amplifiers enable extended talk time, as well as Gain block also works as a driver amplifier MMIC from Avago Technologies, and Toshiba develops low-noise MMICs from Toshiba Electronics Europe.
