Start with the news release NI devices enable dynamic signal acquisition from National Instruments, which we summarised at the time by saying "National Instruments has announced the NI PXIe-449x devices, a range of flexible high-channel-count dynamic signal acquisition (DSA) modules. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release MEMS microphones can be used in mobile phones from Wolfson Microelectronics: "The WM7210 and the WM7220 MEMS microphones are ideal for applications such as mobile phones, PCs, portable media players, digital still cameras and navigation devices. ".
 
In November 2010, we covered the news from Wolfson Microelectronics - take a look at WM8958 enables HD audio in portable multimedia which says: "Wolfson's WM8958 audio hub solution is designed to enable high-definition (HD) audio in portable multimedia applications, such as smartphones, tablet computers, e-books and navigation devices. ".
