‘Broadband Networks’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Clocks ICs suitable for OTN multiservice platforms from Silicon Laboratories, which we summarised at the time by saying "Silicon Laboratories has introduced the SI5374 and SI5375 integrated clock ICs, designed to address the complex timing requirements of high-speed optical transport network (OTN) applications.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Marvell launches switches based on control stack from Marvell: "Marvell has announced the availability of an Openflow-enabled, fully featured switching solution based on Marvell's networking control stack and the Prestera range of packet processors. ".
In May 2011, we covered the news from Maxim Integrated Products - take a look at Maxim introduces power-line communication modem which says: "Maxim has launched the MAX2992 OFDM-based power-line communication (PLC) modem that pairs with the MAX2991 analogue front-end to provide a complete PLC chipset for smart-grid communications.".
Take a look also at the news release from Goepel Electronic, Open-source project provides IEEE training, as well as PMC-Sierra chipset boosts OTN networking from PMC-Sierra, and Ethernet switches suit use in harsh applications from Acal Technology.
