‘Asic Synthesis’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release EASA certifies avionics unit with Altera processor from Altera, which we summarised at the time by saying "The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a safety-critical avionics system that includes a DO-254/ED-80-certifiable version of Altera's Nios II embedded processor.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release FDS Software used in Fujitsu ASIC Reference Flow from Forte Design Systems: "Cynthesizer synthesis software has been selected for use in Fujitsu's application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) Reference Flow for the 40nm process technologies, along with 90 and 65nm. ".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Altera - take a look at 28nm technology strategy targets wireless market which says: "Altera has announced its 28nm process technology strategy, which is targeted for cost-sensitive applications in the automotive, industrial and wireless markets.".
Take a look also at the news release from Impulse Accelerated Technologies, C-to-FPGA compiler supports Pico M-series modules, as well as Touch controller designed for ultra-large formats from Zytronic, and Flexible in-circuit clocks for gaming and business from Silicon Laboratories.
