Controller and monitor to debut at PCIM
Europe
Zetex is to launch two new products at this year's PCIM Europe: the ZXBM1004 is a single-phase brushless motor controller and the ZXCT1030 is a highly integrated high-side current monitor.
Analogue semiconductor specialist Zetex is to launch two new products at this year's PCIM Europe: the ZXBM1004 is a single-phase brushless motor controller and the ZXCT1030 is a highly integrated high-side current monitor For equipment needing forced air-cooling, the ZXBM1004 provides intelligent variable speed control for single-phase fans and blowers up to 100W in size

MOSFETs to give that home theatre sound
Zetex has launched a series of four N- and P-channel MOSFETs providing all the performance demanded by Class D audio systems.
Responding to thermistor, voltage or PWM input signals the controller regulates motor speed, power consumption and audible noise in direct relation to ambient temperature conditions.
A highly integrated current monitor, the ZXCT1030 features an internal reference and comparator with a non-latching output.
A high-side current monitoring device, the MSOP8 packaged ZXCT1030 converts the voltage across a sense resistor into a 1% accurate proportional output voltage.
It avoids adding any resistance in the ground plane - the cause of offset and the loss of true-ground reference.
Other recent product introductions also to be featured by Zetex at PCIM 2004 include the ZMX40M, a dual magnetic field sensor providing a measurement sensitivity many times greater than that of traditional Hall effect devices, and the company's latest generation of ultra low saturation voltage bipolar transistors.
Zetex will be on Stand 208 at PCIM Europe in Nuremberg, Germany from 25th to 27th May 2004.
