Z-Communications has announced an RoHS compliant fixed-frequency synthesiser model SFS1720A-LF in L-band, which operates at 1,720MHz.

This synthesiser features a typical phase noise of -96dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and typical sideband spurs of -70dBc.

The SFS1720A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 6dBm with a VCO voltage supply of 5V DC while drawing 35mA (typical) and a phase-locked loop voltage of 3V DC while drawing 9mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40C to 85C.

This synthesiser features typical second harmonic suppression of -15dBc and comes in Z-Comm's industry-standard PLL-V12N package measuring 0.6in x 0.6in x 0.13in.

It is available in tape-and-reel packaging for production requirements.

The SFS1720A-LF is suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

It's also suitable for microwave radio and test and measurement applications that require low phase noise performance.
