Trigon announces low-profile power inductor
Trigon has introduced its IRHL2D10P (3x3x1mm) low-profile power inductor.
Low-profile power inductors are becoming a key component for power supplies used in the mobile devices market.
A typical mobile phone uses three to six power inductors.
Coil-type inductors are the typical choice for use as power inductors for the DC-DC converters found in mobile phones, due to their large current-carrying capacity.
However, it is difficult to achieve miniaturisation and low profile at the same time.
By eliminating waste and automation of the coiling process, Trigon offers the IRHL2D10P that provides inductance ranging from one to 33uH with RDC as low as 78mohm.
The low DCR is directly linked to better performance with respect to handling large current and high power efficiency, according to Trigon.
