Wind River has released comprehensive embedded software support for the new Intel Pentium 4 and the Xeon processors including the market-leading VxWorks real-time operating system (RTOS), Tornado integrated development environment (IDE) and a full complement of WindNet networking protocols. Wind River's development platform for these Intel Netburst microarchitecture-based processors is well suited for OEMs building high-bandwidth carrier-class networking infrastructure gear, high-end enterprise networking equipment, and multimedia applications with high performance requirements.
