The Welwyn Components HVC series of high-voltage chip resistors offers compact sized resistors rated for continuous voltages up to 3kV.
The Welwyn Components HVC series of high-voltage chip resistors offers compact sized resistors rated for continuous voltages up to 3kV.
An extension to Welwyn's high-voltage resistor range, the surface-mount resistor offers three power ratings from 0.3 to 1W at 70C ambient.
The robust thick-film resistors come in 1206, 2010 and 2512 industry standard sizes offering limiting element voltages of 1.5, 2 and 3kV, respectively, and are ideally suited for handling by automatic methods due to their rectangular shape and the small dimensional tolerance.
With a resistance range of 100kohm to 100Mohm, TCR of 100ppm/C and resistance tolerance to 0.5%, their maximum operating temperature is 155C.
Wrap-around terminations provide good leach properties and ensure reliable contact.
Due to the robust construction, the HVC can be immersed in the solder bath for 30s at 260C.
This enables the resistor to be mounted on one side of the PCB and wire-leaded components applied on the other side.
