Designed for debugging, testing and validating next-generation platforms, the Vanguard analysers incorporate a state analyser, exerciser, statistics engine, protocol checker and compliance checker. Vmetro Vanguard networked bus analysers are operated through Ethernet or USB from a PC with Windows running Vmetro's BusView for Windows software.
The addition of an Ethernet interface to a dedicated bus analyser is an industry first and will transform the way system buses are debugged.
Engineers will now have the convenience of accessing any or multiple bus analysers on the network.
The Vanguard product range is based on a powerful reconfigurable hardware architecture that allows a common module to be used on multiple platforms and provides for field upgrades, without sacrificing the ability to use all functions concurrently and independently.

The product is offered with an exerciser that fully supports master/target and requester/completer functions.
A compliance checker is also available to verify compliance with the PCI and PCI-X standards automatically.
The statistics engine generates preprogrammed real-time statistics for bus utilisation, transfer rate, command distribution, burst length distribution, arbiter latency and others.
The customer can also define custom statistics.
