The US branch office of Vistec Semiconductor Systems (formerly known as Leica Microsystems Semiconductor) is going to move to the West Coast in August. The Selling Unit, which is responsible for sales, service, and support, is going to be relocated.
It will move from Chantilly, VA, to Fremont, CA, situated within Silicon Valley.
'At Silicon Valley we are closer to our key customers', declares Gerhard Ruppik, therewith explaining the reason for relocation.
'The US are an important market to us, and being located in California will enable us to serve this market better'.
The entire Selling Unit including management, staff and infrastructure will move to Fremont: consequently, in the future all sales, service, and support activities will be conducted from Silicon Valley.
'Due to the immediate vicinity to our customers we will be able to provide an even better service', promises Sales Unit Manager Maarten Kramer.
