Vartech has launched a range of LCD displays that are designed for industrial and process control environments requiring protection from the intrusion of dust and/or splashing water (at the bezel).

The 17 and 19in NEMA 4 (IP65) rated VESA Mountable (100mm) displays feature SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) resolution, are auto-sync compatible with various VESA video standards and satisfy a variety of industrial control and man-machine interface applications.

Both models are assembled into an all-aluminum, thermoset black powder-coated, rugged, gasket sealed, vent-free, machined enclosure.

This series includes various computer and video input capabilities, including DVI, VGA (dual VGA channels optional), NTSC/PAL/SECAM, composite, S-video and component video.

On-screen user controls include automatic picture set-up, power, colour gain, source seek, OSD timeout position and programmable hot-keys.

Various add-on options include: resistive, capacitive or optically bonded armour touch screens (projected capacitive available soon); extended operational temperature capabilities; sunlight viewability technology; and private labelling.

The rugged 19in SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) resolution, high-luminance (1,000 nits, cd/m2), industrial-grade LCD display systems are integrated with true high-brightness low-power, high-reliability solid-state LED backlighting.

Producing 16.77 million display colours, these systems are designed for applications such as industrial, marine, kiosk and military operations.

The advanced LCD modules features a white LED backlight system, with low power consumption, a slimline package that is resistant to shock/vibration and wide operational temperature capabilities.

They offer electrical to light efficiency and provide sunlight readability while consuming significantly less power than that of traditional CCFL backlit panels.

These LED backlit systems provide improved environmental shock and vibration protection, and enhanced brightness uniformity over CCFL backlights.

Vartech's thermally efficient designs enhance the long life characteristics of the LEDs.

Projected lifetime of the LED backlights exceeds 70,000 hours.

They offer virtually instant warm-up and there is no risk of backlight hard failure while providing light-source redundancy.

Various mechanical design configurations are available: NEMA 4 (IP65) panel mount, NEMA 4X (IP66) panel mount, RETMA rack mount and open-frame chassis mount.

This series includes a multitude of various computer and video input capabilities from DVI, VGA (dual VGA channels optional), NTSC/PAL/SECAM, composite, S-video and component video.

On-screen user controls include: automatic picture set-up, power, colour gain, source seek, OSD timeout position and programmable hot-keys.

Various add-on options include: resistive, capacitive or optically bonded armour touch screens; extended operational temperature capabilities; and private labelling.

New 8.4in NEMA 4 (IP65) VESA/RAM Mount LCD Display a low-profile, enclosed, VESA mountable (100mm) LCD display designed to NEMA 4 (IP65) standards.

It is engineered to be placed in a variety of industrial and process control environments requiring protection from the intrusion of dust and/or splashing water (at the bezel).

Integrated with a true industrial grade TFT LCD cell, the display features SVGA (800 x 600) resolution (optional XGA 1,024 x 768), is auto-sync compatible with various VESA video standards and satisfies a variety of industrial control and man-machine interface applications.

Designed with a very rugged, machined, all-aluminum, thermoset black powder-coated, gasket sealed, vent-free enclosure, this model is built to handle challenging real-world environments.

This series includes various computer and video input capabilities from DVI, VGA, NTSC/PAL/SECAM, composite, S-Video and component video.

On-screen user controls include: automatic picture set-up, power, colour gain, source seek, OSD timeout position and programmable hot-keys.

Various add-on options include: resistive, capacitive or optically bonded armour touch screens; extended operational temperature capabilities; sunlight viewability technology; and private labelling.
