Optrex has developed a range of TFT-LCDs that are suited for graphic designs, medical applications, automotive clusters and centre-stack consoles.

The displays feature the company's Super Wide View (SWV) technology for superior image quality and wide viewing angles with maximum colour accuracy.

Super Wide View solves the colour shifting problems inherent in traditional twisted nematic (TN) and Vertical Alignment (VA) type displays.

Super Wide View reduces the amount of light scattering in the matrix, provides a viewing angle of greater than 170 and ensures that colours will be the most accurate when viewed from any direction.

5in diagonal WVGA panels (T-55423GD050JU-LW-A series) feature a slim design with a total module thickness of 3.5mm and a standard CMOS interface, along with 300 nits brightness and a 600:1 contrast ratio.

The high-brightness version (T-55583GD050J-LW-A-AAN) features 800 nits with a 900:1 contrast ratio and is designed for outdoor sunlight-readable applications.

The 9in diagonal WVGA panels (T-55561D090J-LW-A series) feature 100,000 hours LED backlighting, 350 nits brightness and a 900:1 contrast ratio, along with standard LVDS interface and an operating temperature of -30 to 80C.

The 15in diagonal XGA panels (T-55519D150J-LW-A series) feature 100,000 hours LED backlighting, 350 nits brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

The high-brightness version (T-55519D150J-LW-A-ABN) features 1100 nits and is ideal for outdoor sunlight-readable applications.
