A novel development from Tyco Electronics represents a significant step forward in crimp and die technology. Setting a new standard in flexibility and functionality, the system allows quick and easy interchange of dies, enabling the effective crimping of a wide variety of products types and wire sizes, all from the same unit. Based around a selection of termination equipment - all of which is compatible with an extensive range of individual dies - Tyco Electronics' Standard Die Envelope (SDE) system is perfectly suited to vast array of crimping applications.
Providing a simple and cost-effective route to interchangeability, the range provides the versatility to satisfy the demands of a variety of production volumes, in bench or hand-held applications, and delivers highly efficient performance with hand, air or electric power options.
Included in the range are the SDE Pro-Crimper II and SDE PEW 12 hand tool frames.
Both units are specifically designed for very low production volumes, or repair functions, for a wide range of applications.
Providing ratchet action with emergency release, to assure complete crimp every time, the hand tools accept a variety of pinned or shouldered dies, enable crimping of multiple terminals with one die set, and incorporate a lightweight, ergonomic design.
Also included in the range is the SDE Pneumatic 626 system.
Perfectly suited for low to medium production volumes, the versatile unit is ideal for both bench and hand held applications, and includes a flexible head that can be rotated to any angle.
Designed to crimp terminals of 6 to 26AWG, the system is available in two force levels (for UL and CSA approved applications), operates with a 110 or 240V power supply, and provides hand or foot actuation.
