A new terminator, specifically designed for crimping terminals of 2.5mm2 (14awg) or less, has been developed by Tyco Electronics. The terminator provides all the quality of a full-sized press, but at a fraction of the cost, and offers previously unattainable levels of price-performance for a wide range of applications. It is fully compatible with the industry standard mini style applicators.

Providing toolless removal of applicators and guards for quick and simple maintenance, the AMP ELT offers very high levels of functionality and user friendliness.

It offers manual shut height fine adjustment, covering a range of 0.018in (0.457mm) in 0.0005in (0.013mm) increments, keeping setup times to an absolute minimum, while its 45-degree frame design gives excellent accessibility.

A variable speed control means the ELT is suitable for even the most fragile crimp product, very often negating the need for a more costly pneumatic feed on the applicator.

A geared motor-drive allows the terminator to achieve a cycle time of under 0.4s.

Extremely quiet in operation (less than 76dbA), the ELT also features as standard, universal power input, jog capability and a moulded plastic safety cover, and optional CQM (crimp quality monitor) capability, a cycle counter, work light and a pneumatic feed kit.
