Tyco unveils Strada high-speed connectors

Tyco Electronics has introduced a Strada connectors suite, specifically designed for future high-speed systems.
The first connector series offered, the Strada Mesa mezzanine connector system, offers a pin-and-socket signal contact design that can be arranged in high-speed differential, high-density single-ended, and/or coax patterns.
Strada connectors are a product specifically designed for future high-speed system requirements.
Additionally, the connector offers integrated power contacts, each capable of carrying a 10A current.
Strada Mesa connectors are available with stack height options ranging from 8mm to 42mm.
They deliver over 15 Gbytes/s performance and are available in three sizes, which when fully loaded with all differential pairs will yield 40 pairs, 80 pairs and 160 pairs.
The receptacle and header assemblies are press-fitted to the printed circuit board (PCB).
