Electronics company combines worldwide businesses

TT electronics' integrated manufacturing services division provides customers located anywhere in the world with a local point of access to its global manufacturing capabilities.

TT electronics has formed an integrated manufacturing services division, uniting the strengths of five electronic manufacturing services businesses around the world.

The move creates the biggest UK owned global electronic manufacturing services (EMS) organisation and the 25th biggest EMS operation in the world.

Through the team located at the site nearest to them, customers are offered a resource combining the skills and technologies of five strategically located manufacturing sites under a single umbrella.

TT electronics Chief Executive Neil Rodgers said, "Our integrated manufacturing services division offers high-volume services to customers manufacturing low to medium volumes".

"These include not only a choice of manufacturing location, to fit the profile of technical skills, quality accreditation and cost environment associated with each project, but also a service package that can extend right out to a fully outsourced logistics organisation".

"We are now able to offer our customer a truly global solution from early involvement in product design through to full system integration, packaging and delivery of complex technology products".

TT electronics offers its customers an integrated 42,600m2 of manufacturing resources with over 1500 staff.

The sites are located in Perry, Ohio, USA; Rogerstone and Aylesbury, UK; Suzhou City, China; and Kuantan, Malaysia.

Customers anywhere in the world can select the site that best meets their requirements on a project-by-project basis.

Every site is accredited to ISO9001 and is RoHS-compliant.

Specific sites offer additional internationally recognised aerospace, medical and automotive accreditations.

For example, the Rogerstone, UK site recently achieved the AS9100 accreditation, enabling it to manufacture safety critical flight electronics.

It is a signatory to SC21, the aerospace supply chain program.

It already holds the TS16949:2002 automotive quality standard, the ISO14001:2004 environmental standard.

The Suzhou, China plant also has ISO14001, TS16949 and ISO13485 medical accreditation, while the Perry, Ohio facility also holds the medical ISO13485 accreditation.
