Manufacturer receives aerospace accreditation
AS9100 certifies that TTems has the controls, business management processes and quality procedures to support the manufacture of electronic systems that are integral to the safety of aircraft.
TTems' Rogerstone, South Wales site had achieved AS9100, one of the world's most demanding quality standards, accrediting the site to manufacture safety critical flight systems for the aerospace industry.
Achieving the standard is part of TTems' commitment to SC21, the aerospace industry supply chain programme.
According to Andrew Cox, Managing Director of TTems Rogerstone, "As an AS9100 accredited site, we are approved to manufacture some of the world's most sensitive and demanding electronic systems, opening up new areas of business for us at Rogerstone".
"TTems has invested strongly in its Rogerstone site".
AS9100 is a standardised quality management system for the aerospace industry.
It certifies that TTems has the controls, business management processes and quality procedures in place to support the manufacture of electronic systems that are integral to the safety of civil and military aircraft in flight.
The accreditation strengthens an already impressive portfolio of approvals, including the TS16945:2002 automotive quality standard, the ISO14001:2004 environmental standard, BABT340, IPC-A-610D and ISO9001:2000.
