Dispensing system has global appeal
Techcon Systems will launch the TS9150G precision dispensing system at Productronica 2003.

Techcon Systems will launch the TS9150G precision dispensing system at Productronica 2003. Featuring an autoranging power supply that allows it to be used anywhere in the world without adjustment, the TS9150G has a vacuum control for all viscosities of fluids using air powered disposable syringes. It is based on the successful TS9150 series of micro air dispensers, with the G representing its ability to be used around the globe.
The TS9150G autoranging transformer accepts inputs in the range 100-240V AC, 50-60Hz, which means there is no longer any need to change fuses or other elements of the power supply in order to work in different locations.
An additional benefit is that a company's internal procedures can be simplified, as only one part number is required, from ordering the units, right through to keeping track of them within their organisations, rather than having different numbers for variously configured systems.
"We designed the TS9150G to be used anywhere in the world, straight out of the box without adjustment", says Steve Collier, Techcon's European Market Development Manager for Fluid Dispensing Products.
"It is competitively priced but doesn't compromise on features or quality.
Existing Techcon users can switch or upgrade to the TS9150G and still use their existing tools, while new customers can choose from a wide range of syringes and dispensing accessories".
The unit's solid-state digital controller provides accurate and repeatable dispensing cycles.
Optimum dispensing is achieved by adjusting the output pressure and dispense time, and there are options for automatic timing or fully manual operation.
The vacuum is adjustable from 25.4 to 381mm of mercury for controlling drip of fluids between dispense cycles.
Three dispense time ranges are included, offering controlled time shots from 0.01 to 30s with an excellent timing repeatability of +/-0.5%.
Actuation can be momentary or maintained, and it is controlled by a micro-action footswitch that plugs into the back of the unit.
The operating rate can be more than 600 cycles per minute and dot sizes can be down to 0.1ml.
The TS9150G can be easily carried between work locations as it measures just 235 x 215 x 64mm and weighs 1.75kg.
It features a brushed stainless-steel housing that distinguishes it from the earlier systems, and has illuminated function switches to help make operation simpler.
To ensure faultless operation around the world, Techcon Systems has certified TS9150G to both CSA and CE specifications.
