Gigahertz DSP enables
mobile media gateway
Siemens Communications Group has used TI's newest 1GHz DSP in its mobile media gateway, the Siemens @vantage CMG-3500
Leveraging the high performance and low power of TI's TMS320TCI6482, Siemens' new media gateway realises a fourfold improvement in channel density, delivering at least 1000 voice channels per card. Targeting worldwide deployments for 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile core networks, the Siemens @vantage CMG-3500 delivers one of the smallest footprints with highest performance and full functionality.
