Sitecom aims for 802.11g+ upgrade
Sitecom and Texas Instruments are working to deliver higher performing 802.11g solutions for a wide array of home and SOHO wireless LAN products
Through use of TI's 802.11g+ technology, Sitecom's products enable consumers to experience up to a 50% increase in throughput over 802.11g devices enabling faster downloads, emailing and Internet surfing. The 802.11g+ products are fully compliant with IEEE 802.11g and offer complete interoperability with 802.11b products for easy usage in mixed-networks.

Sitecom's 802.11g+ PC and PCI cards are already available in retail and will be followed by USB adapters, access points (APs) and AP routers in 4Q 2003.
Sitecom also plans to use TI's integrated DSL and 802.11g+ solutions for high-end retail products such as ADSL WLAN routers later this year as an extension of the companies' broadband technology relationship.
