Tek sells off optical product family
Tektronix has signed an agreement to sell a family of products and certain other related assets within its optical test portfolio to Digital Lightwave
Under terms of the agreement, Tektronix will sell its optical transmission test (OTS) product family (OTS9000, OTS9010, OTS9040, OTS9100 Series, OTS9200 Series and OTS9300 Series) for $10 million in cash and transfer the lease on its manufacturing facility based in Chelmsford, MA. With the sale of the OTS product family, Tektronix is strategically aligning its resources and refining its optical strategy to best meet the needs of its customers, specifically in research and development applications for the optical test market.
