Software manages virtual
machines in real time
TenAsys Corporation is claiming a breakthrough in embedded computing for its RT-Hypervisor software, the industry's first hypervisor for real-time Intel architecture systems
The software, based on 25 years of proven mission-critical embedded applications on TenAsys' RTOS technology, is being demonstrated this week at the Embedded Systems Conference on both the TenAsys and Intel booths. RT-Hypervisor is a real-time virtual machine manager, partitioning hardware resources among one or more guest operating systems hosted on an Intel Architecture platform.

RT-Hypervisor leverages new developments in Intel processor silicon, namely the Virtualisation Technology extensions, to support the isolation of multiple operating environments on an Intel processor, ensuring real-time determinism and improved control over hardware and interrupt resources for a guest real-time operating system.
