eM-Library Expert is a web-based vendor part library portal that provides a seamless method for automated transfer of component data required for assembly and test of electronics printed circuit assemblies. eM-Library Expert is fully integrated with eMPower PCB assembly and Test, the industry-leading new product introduction (NPI) solution for electronics manufacturing. eM-Library Expert extends the company's eMPower for Electronics offering with centralised access to critical component data that will speed time to productivity and enhance "right-first-time" capabilities.

eM-Library Expert, available immediately, provides an automatic method of creating, managing and updating NPI component information libraries, reducing the time involved in managing these libraries and ensuring accurate test and assembly program creation.

This new service can cut the time it takes to populate NPI libraries by as much as 60%; while reducing machine programming time by up to 80%.

This new functionality is offered as a key component within the eMPower PCB Assembly and Test product suite, creating the industry's only integrated solution for assembly and test machine programming that includes documentation creation, optimisation capabilities and integration with a vendor part library.

"To stay competitive, electronics contract manufacturers must focus on continuous improvement", says Israel Levy, Chief Executive Officer of Tecnomatix Unicam.

"eM-Library Expert facilitates rapid access to critical component data, which is one more way we help our customers drive their continuous improvement initiatives.

Combined with Tecnomatix Unicam's existing best-in-class solutions for programming assembly and test machines, this vendor part library portal gives our customers an automated process to quickly create accurate NPI component libraries, saving time and significantly reducing costs.

Accessing accurate component data for assembly and test quickly and easily eliminates a barrier that manufacturers have traditionally faced.

The right information allows for more rapid new product introductions, done right the first time".
