Drive enclosure proves compatibility
StorCase Technology has recently demonstrated the complete compatibility of its updated Data Silo DS321 FireWire 800 twin-bay expansion chassis with Pro Tools' HD-Accel editing software.

StorCase Technology has recently demonstrated the complete compatibility of its updated Data Silo DS321 FireWire 800 twin-bay expansion chassis with Pro Tools' HD-Accel editing software. The StorCase DS321 is a flexible, reliable and high-performance enclosure, making it perfect for editing audio and/or video, or any FireWire 800 application requiring removable drives. This product was created to provide a durable, twin-bay housing for 3.5in low-profile removable Ultra ATA/133 drives interfacing to FireWire 800 hosts.
The rugged steel DS321 provides two rack-oriented device bays and can be used either as a desktop or a rack-mount enclosure.
"While the DE100 removable SCSI system is the disk system of choice for recording with G4 and Pro Tools, G5 has badly needed a FireWire system offering the same high quality".

Each Data Silo DS321 comes standard with two StorCase Data Express DE110 removable drive carriers, pre-integrated into each of its bays.
Data Express removable products have earned an industry reputation for their reliability and design, each featuring highly-rated carrier-to-frame mating connectors (25,000 insertions), drive carrier key locks, and providing input current regulation for current flow from the power supply to the device.
The DS321 is designed with the same reliability expected of Data Silo products, with an MTBF of 500kh, a highly rated, enhanced power supply and a superior, ultraquiet heat-dissipation system.
All Data Silo enclosures are accompanied by a seven-year warranty (three years for power supplies and fan modules) in addition to StorCase's 24/7 technical phone support.
