Siemic Laboratories is a leading research, testing and certification facility located in the heart of Silicon Valley (Fremont, California) that is formally accredited by the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC), the accreditation body for testing to the new compulsory product certification mark, the China Compulsory Certification (CCC).

As part of China's commitment for entry into the World Trade Organisation, the new Compulsory Product Certification System (CPCS) CCC mark integrates the two previous Chinese compulsory inspection systems, the CCIB (for imported products) and CCEE also called Great Wall Mark (for domestic products).

CCC Mark streamlined two systems and now both foreign and Chinese companies are required to follow the system Certification System.

The CCC Mark adds new EMC requirements to the previous safety requirements which makes it more difficult to meet Chinese GB standards.

Power harmonic compliance is also required.

Siemic Laboratories, like its name, specialises in signal integrity, electromagnetic interference and compatibility, providing wireless and information technology equipment (ITE) testing and certification for global markets.

With local professional support team in Siemic's China Office, and accredited by China certification authority, Siemic provides second-to-none competitive services for CCC certification.

"China has a culture and a market that for most western companies has long been shrouded in mystery and political intrigue.

However, as one of the largest growing information technology markets in the world, China now opens a critical window of opportunity for companies to enter this market.

With a population of over 1.3 billion people, China offers a potentially lucrative market for foreign goods and services.

Being a relatively new country to IT technology, China represents a huge potential market for manufacturers to sell their products.

This is particularly true in the area of telecommunications.

The Chinese government has undertaken a massive effort to revise its laws and regulations in a manner consistent with WTO (World Trade Organisation) rules.

There are still substantial barriers in place that have yet to be dismantled.

Import barriers, an opaque and inconsistent legal system, and limitations on market access combine to make it difficult for foreign firms to compete in China", said Sally Huang, CEO of Siemic.

"Backed by our extensive experience in regulatory compliance industry and strong relationship with Chinese certification authorities, we are very pleased to be accredited to offer CCC certification".

"If you are contemplating obtaining approvals for electrical, electronics products, whether for telecommunications, computing, radio, electronics, household appliances, then you will face some distinctly Chinese obstacles, for which you need to be prepared.

There are several barriers to imported products: distance, language, unfamiliar culture and unsophisticated commercial market conditions can sometime make this a difficult and expense procedure.

A formidable maze of culture, laws and regulations confronts any company embarking on this venture", said Jeremy Teng, Director of Marketing (China), Siemic.

"Being accredited for CCC certification, understanding both Western and Eastern cultures, we look forward to providing our customers, particularly companies in western countries, with the most competitive CCC certification services".
