SARS delays China Compulsory Certification
In light of the SARS epidemic, the Chinese authorities have extended the period of grace for compliance with the new China Compulsory Certification scheme
China implemented its new certification system, China Compulsory Certification (CCC), to replace the old CCIB/CCEE certification systems, in May 2002. The grace period was set for one year, and CCC was planned to be fully enforced from 1st May 2003. Due to the SARS situation in China, the China National Certification Administration announced on 24th April that CCC will be postponed.
