SPI's FBGs are usedin WDM systems to allow more wavelengths to be added, dropped, ormultiplexed per fibre and therefore provide more total bandwidthper fibre with improved flexibility and scalability.
The FBGfamily comprises 25, 33, 40, and 50GHz channel spacings for OADMand MUX applications.
They are athermally packaged to provideabsolute wavelength accuracy of +/-0.02nm over the full operatingtemperature range of -5 to +70C.
